The web tells us that asemic writing is suppose to be a wordless semantic form of writing. The word asemic means "having no specific semantic content". I find it more another type of artistic expression. It is exotic and flowing just like the foreign calligraphy that spawned it. I can see abstract Japanese and Chinese letters that were the inspirational base idea for these paintings. One person commented and I must agree that “they are full of kinetic energy”. Writing in itself is a beautiful art source. Letters are decorative, they flow, they have mass and they are pleasing to the eye. Asemic art is the purest expression of energy through shape and design . It is those design elements that filter the writing attributes into a more robust art form that plays with visual impact and emotional appeal. Asemic art for the sake of art can be redefined as a beautiful rendering with sensual impact. ...
